Utah is home to The Greatest Snow On Earth®; an incredible 500 annual inches of dry powder snow; and Park City has three world class alpine ski resort - all within a one hour driving radius from Salt Lake City and its international airport. This adds up to making Park City the easiest and best place to ski, snowboard, snowshoe, cross-country ski, tube, snowmobile, try a bobsled track or ice rink, sleigh ride or simply curl up by the fire at the ski lodge.
Deer Valley:
Skiing is spread over four mountains: Empire Canyon, Flagstaff, Bald and Bald Eagle Mountains. They offer a great variety of skiing for experts and novices alike, along with panoramic views of the Wasatch and Uinta mountains. These mountains are serviced by 19 lifts, including one four passenger high-speed gondola, five high-speed detachable quads, three fixed-grip quads, eight triple chairs and two double chairs which access 87 ski runs and six bowls.
Park City Mountain:
Because this resort has such a variety of runs and activities, it is the perfect place for groups, regardless of age or ability. The resort is serviced by 14 lifts, including four high-speed six passenger chairs, one high-speed quad, five triples and four doubles. There are 100 trails and 750 acres of open bowls.
The Canyons:
Once a small locals' mountain, The Canyons is now the biggest story in US skiing. It's always been blessed with incredibly varied terrain, breathtaking panoramas, and plenty of sweet Utah powder. Now, thanks to $33 million spent upgrading and expanding the resort, this winter paradise covers 3,700 acres stretching over seven peaks, including the legendary Ninety-Nine 90 and the newly opened Peak 5. The lift system has also undergone major improvements, with 13 total lifts, ten of them new, including an eight-passenger gondola and five high-speed quads, whisking skiers to the top of the Wasatch Range in the Rocky Mountains.
